▶ Cartmel Peninsula Repair Cafe - A fabulous collaborative project with Grange Methodist Church which started in October 2022. If you need things fixing, if you have repair skills or can help in other ways - you can find out more about this exciting local peninsula project here.
▶ Climate Action Reading Group - Supported by Cumbria County Council library services with regular provision of environmentally themed books for the group to read, followed by lively group discussion in a local pub. If you would like to join the group please email: PEATMessages@gmail.com.
▶ Litter Picking - We sometimes gather folks to go litter picking - if you'd like to join us do get in touch with peatmessages@gmail.com with the subject Litter Picking. If you'd like to organise your own litter pick you can contact Light Up Lives at the Community Hub at the Vic in Grange to borrow their pickers and blue bags. Email: barbara@lightuplives.org.
▶ FILM: Thriving: A Journey into Regenerative Farming - A few PEAT members watched the film, Thriving when it was shown at Rheged in November 22 and we'd really love to bring it to Grange. Can you help us make that happen?
OTHER LOCAL PROJECTS
▶ LET'S GROW - PEAT member Jeni McConnell is gathering people who are interested in community food growing. She talked about the project at our January meeting. You can find out more about it here.

▶ Seedlings - we popped up at so many places around the peninsula with our free seeds, compost, trays, decorated stone labels and knitted slug guards (yes, you read that right!). We shared thousands of organic seeds with nearly 450 people, encouraging everyone to 'have a go'. Every home grown contribution to a meal is a step towards a more sustainable future for our planet. Find out more through our blog posts.
