NASTURTIUM: Various

Half hardy annual, Ht. 25cm, spread 45cm. Red/orange, helmet shaped, flowers in summer to early autumn. Green leaves. Nasturtiums are great as both an ornamental flower and an edible salad with its leaves, flowers, and even the seeds all of use. They have a terrific mustardy flavour.

The Dwarf Mix is non-trailing so is well-suited for pots or tubs on your patio. Flowers bloom in bright orange, red, and yellow from summer and onward until the end of the year. The bees love them!

SOW IN: In early spring, into prepared plug trays or pots, 1 seed per plug or 3-4 per pot. Place in a light warm greenhouse or on a windowsill.

SOW OUT In early summer, when all threat of frost has passed. Sow 15-20cm apart in a well-drained soil, full sun or partial shade.

How to grow:

Sow March to May directly into the growing site in a weed free sunny spot, thin to 25 cms apart, (the thinnings can be transplanted). Can also been started in pots for hanging baskets and transplanting.

Flowers: June to September.
